    Operation Udo Ka Supports Anambra Pupils With Educational Materials

    In continuation of its commitment to fostering civil-military cooperation and promoting academic excellence, the Nigerian Armed Forces has extended educational support to Ogwumabiri Primary School in Lilu community, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

    Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, 82 Division Nigerian Army, Lt Col Olabisi Olalekan Ayeni, disclosed this in a statement.

    The event, which drew participation from the local community, was marked by joy as pupils of the school were presented with bags and exercise books from the Headquarters Joint Task Force (JTF) South East (SE) Operation UDO KA (OPUK).

    The gesture was aimed at inspiring the children to pursue academic excellence while reinforcing the bond between the Nigerian Armed Forces and the people.

    Presenting the items on behalf of the Commander JTF SE OPUK and General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj Gen Oluremi Ayobami Fadairo, the Chief of Staff, Headquarters 82 Division, Brigadier General Saka Jimoh emphasized that education remains a vital legacy and a powerful tool for social engineering, economic advancement, and holistic development.

    He encouraged the pupils and staff to utilize the gifts to enhance learning outcomes, while assuring the community of the Armed Forces unwavering commitment to security and stability in Anambra State.

    He thanked the GOC for providing the resources for the outreach and reaching out to the students.

    Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Lt Col Olalekan Ayeni noted that children are the future of every society and that sustainable development is essential for lasting peace.

    He stressed that the initiative reflects the Armed Forces’ resolve to nurture young leaders and restore confidence among residents, encouraging displaced members of the community to return home as peace gradually returns to Lilu and its environs.

    He appreciated the Commander OPUK for this gesture.

    The Headteacher of Ogwumabiri Primary School, Mrs Grace Nnubia, expressed profound gratitude to the Nigerian Army for the intervention, pledging to uphold the standards of the school in line with the Army’s values of discipline and excellence.

    The presence of senior officers, including Commander 302 Artillery Regiment (General Support), Onitsha, Colonel Madaki Yakubu, and other representatives of 82 Division, added colour to the event.

    The Nigerian Army remains steadfast in its mission to safeguard communities, foster peace, and contribute to national development through initiatives that strengthen civil-military relations.
