    Sudan Update: NEMA Provides Support As Stranded Citizens Cross Border Into Egypt

    This information was made available on Saturday morning as updates on the evacuation efforts by the National Emergency Management Agency’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Manzo Ezekiel:
    Stranded Nigerians in Sudan crossing border into Egypt for airlift back to Nigeria. Officials of NEMA, Embassy of Nigeria in Egypt and Sudan providing supports to them.
    14 buses are being driven out for onward movement to Aswan Airport.
    Buses have started moving out of the Wadi Halfa border to the edge of River Nile.
    They’ll use ferry to cross to Abu Simbel….then to Aswan.
    It is a ferry ride of one hour and 10 minutes from Wadi Halfa to Abu Simbel.
    Humsimedia earlier reported that at the Egyptian border, food and water were being distributed by the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA) officials at Wadi Halfa border crossing.
    Passport clearance concluded, immigration was in the process of returning passports back to the evacuees.
