Ace Journalist and broadcaster, Alhaji Abdullahi Yelwa has commenced students and pupils of the Parliament International School Apo Abuja, for their brilliant academic performances in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Abdullahi Yelwa who is the Chairman, Governing Council of the Parliament International School Apo, Abuja, gave the commendation on Saturday at the 23rd Graduation and Prize Giving day of the school.
Pupils of the school spoke on the importance of security in the country, the roles of different security agencies, and taught the audience security tips for keeping safe.
They were dressed in different security uniforms comprising of the Nigeria Police, Nigerian Army, Federal Road Safety Commission, (FRSC) Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corprs, (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Centre and the DSS.
Known for its academic excellence and moulding good character, the school graduated a total of 179 students and pupils from the Nursery class to Senior Secondary School, (SSS) at the 2025/2026 academic session.
In his remarks, Principal of the school, Mr. Pius Ikhemeagie congratulated the graduating students and encouraged both the students and graduands to be resilient in the pursuit of their life goals.
Mr Ikhemeagie said that the school was immensely proud of the students’ performances in their internal and external examinations, a reflection of the spirit of excellence input into the children in the school.
He thanked the parents and staff of the school for their hard work in building the good character of the students both academically and socially.

Jennifer Ugwu, JSS 3- Parliament International School Apo is a very good school. It has very good staff and teachers who have taught me very well.
Kelechi Onyekuro, SS3- Learning in the school is fun. There are lots of good memories and I have made a lot of friends.
David Olurin, SS3- The experience at Parliament International School has been nostalgic. I have been academically well groomed and I can boast of lots fond memories.
Awards were presented to students who had performed excellently and won laurels for the school at inter-school competitions.
The event also featured debates and cultural dances from different parts of the country, a reflection of Nigeria’s culture and diversity.
