The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will have to fully comply with the judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on November 16, 2026 affirming Chief Kenneth Udeze as the authentic National Chairman of Action Alliance.

By law, the Supreme Court of Nigeria holds the apex judicial power in the country, and its judgments carry final authority, legal force, and binding precedent across the federation.

In a statement signed on Monday for the National Chairman, Chief Barr. Kenneth Udeze, Esq. by the party’s Media Directorate, AA said for years, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had continued to act in a manner perceived as partisan and in disobedience to the valid judgment of the Court of Appeal which affirmed Chief Udeze.

But the protracted leadership tussle in the Action Alliance is set to finally come to a definitive end, as the Supreme Court of Nigeria has fixed 16th November, 2026 for the formal withdrawal and dismissal of the appeal filed by Mr. Adekunle Rufai Omoaje challenging the authentic leadership of the party.

Meanwhile, in a dramatic turn that has vindicated the rule of law, Mr. Omoaje, realizing the futility and incompetence of his appeal, has filed a Notice of Withdrawal dated 28th September, 2026, seeking to withdraw his appeal before the apex court.

AA said: “With the impending Supreme Court dismissal, INEC will have no other option than to fully comply with the judgment of the Court of Appeal and give full recognition to the Chief Kenneth Udeze-led leadership as the only lawful leadership of the Action Alliance.

“This development marks the end of the road for all forms of impersonation and leadership distraction in the Action Alliance. It is also a clear dead-end for those who have been fueling the crisis.”

    A Victory For Democracy:

Reacting to the development, supporters of the party described it as good news and a victory for democracy, internal party discipline, and the Rule of Law.

Therefore, Chief Kenneth Udeze, Esq., the authentic National Chairman of Action Alliance, remains the only Chairman recognized by law and now poised to forge ahead united, to mobilize Nigerians and prepare for a resounding victory in the 2027 general elections.

AA enjoined all its members and supporters nationwide to remain calm, law-abiding, and disregard any publication from any impostor claiming to act for the party.
