The Spokesperson and Head of Media and Publicity of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Dele Oyewale, has been inducted as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management.

Oyewale was inducted as a Fellow of the Institute on Saturday, October 10, 2026, while the formal presentation ceremony took place on Thursday, October 15, at his office at the EFCC headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.

At the ceremony, Sarki Dogara, representing the Registrar of the Institute, formally bestowed the Fellowship on Oyewale, conferring on him the rights and privileges associated with the Fellowship in accordance with the Institute’s governing laws.

The Fellowship certificate, bearing the seal of the Institute and the signatures of its officers, formally recognises Oyewale’s conferment and affirms the privileges attached to the status.

Oyewale, in his acceptance speech, applauded the offer of Fellowship by the Institute and pledged to be an active and committed member of the Institute. He called on every member of the Institute to join the anti-corruption crusade of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, stressing that public diplomacy and advocacy would go a long way in achieving public ownership in the fight against corruption.

The presentation of the Fellowship was witnessed by Oyewale’s colleagues in the Commission.

The development marks a new professional distinction for the EFCC spokesperson, whose responsibilities as Head of Media and Publicity include communicating the Commission’s activities and engaging the media and the public on its anti-corruption mandate.
