    FG Inaugurates Board Of Galaxy Backbone Limited

    The Federal Government has inaugurated the new Board of Directors of the Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB) with the mandate of leading the nation’s digital transformation in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure and services to Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in a rapidly evolving landscape.

    Director, Information and Public Relations in the OSGF disclosed this in a statement signed on Thursday.

    The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, while inaugurating the Board, underscored the commitment of the Federal Government to elevate GBB into a more agile, responsive, and impactful organization, a driving force for national digital public
    infrastructure and service delivery agenda.

    The Board has the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, as its Chairman.

    Here are the members: Rabi’a Adamu Waziri from Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF); Abubakar Abdulqadir Maje from Joint Stock Association (JSA); Kemi Owonubi from Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI); Mrs. Margareth Ene Ebute from Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy; Prof. Ibrahim Adeyanju; Hon. Olulade Olusegun; Olumbe Akinkugbe; Sanni Ibrahim Mohammed and Adama Pindar from Galaxy Backbone Limited.

    In his acceptance speech, the Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone Limited, Prof. Ibrahim Adepoju Adeyanju assured that the Board would build sustainability in its operations, realigning its institutional vision and establishing a solid foundation for attainment of strategic goals.

    He added that within the span of one year the Agency is able to develop its Integrated Digital Transformation Strategy (IDTS) which will run from 2025 to 2028.
