The Minister of Environment Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal represented Nigeria at the UNFF19 Conference at the UN HQ alongside Governors Babagana Zulum of Borno State and Dauda Dare Lawal of Zamfara State.

Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal delivered a speech highlighting the importance of global collaboration in safeguarding our planet’s future.

Here’s a key extract from his address:

“Today, we stand at a critical juncture in human history, where the decisions we make will profoundly impact the health of our planet and the well-being of future generations.

“As stewards of the environment, it is our collective responsibility to take bold and decisive action to combat Climate Change, protect biodiversity, and ensure sustainable development for all.

“Let us work together, across borders and boundaries, to build a greener, more resilient world for ourselves and for generations to come.

“The time for action is now.”

    Together, let’s make a difference!
