    Tinubu Approves Re-Constitution Of National Stakeholders’ Working Group For NEITI

    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the reconstitution of a 15-man National Stakeholders’ Working Group (NSWG) for Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).

    Segun Imohiosen, the
    Director, Information & Public Relations in the OSGF revealed this in a statement signed on Monday for the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Senator George Akume.

    The NSWG which has the SGF, Sen. George Akume as Chairman, included the following members:

    1.Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, Zacch Adedeji as
    Member, Government Representative

    2.Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Ltd, Mele Kyari as Member,
    Representative of extractive companies (oil and gas)

    4.Mr. Oghenegwueke Ajafia*
    Member
    Oil Producers Trade Section, Lagos Chamber of Commerce (OPTS)

    5. President, Miners Association of Nigeria, Mr. Dele Ayanleke as
    Member, Representative of extractive companies (mining)

    6. Representative of the Civil Member (To be elected by the CSOs). The OSGF has written to the CSOs through NEITI to elect & present their representative and
    the process is on.

    7. Engr. (Mrs.) Nkechi Isigwe, Member, Representative of Women/Geo-scientist. Former President, Association of Professional Women Engineers. Extractive Industries Expert.

    8.President NUPENG, Comrade Williams Apkoreha as Member, Representative of industries Union in oil and gas.

    9.Barr. Musa Abdullahi Lawan,
    Member, Representative of North -West
    Zone

    10.Abubakar Mu’azu, Member,
    Representative of North – East
    Zone

    11.Amb. Matthew Sunday Adoli as Member, Representative from North – Central Zone

    12.Olasupo, Abdel-Jeleel Taiwo as
    Member, Representative of South -West

    13.Chief Israel Ikechukwu Ikwuegbu,
    Member, Representative of South – East

    14. Dr. Stephen Leo Akpan as Member, Representative of South – South… and

    15.Dr. Orji Ogbonnaya Orji as
    Secretary to the NSWG,
    Executive Secretary/CEO (in Office on 5-year Single Tenure).

    The inauguration of the Board is expected to be announced in due course.
