    OSGF: Sanusi Danjuma Replaces Dr. Mbaeri As Perm Sec, General Services Office

    The outgoing Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, Dr. Maurice Nnamdi Mbaeri has handed over the baton to the Permanent Secretary, Special Services Office, Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma, to oversee the General Services Office.

    Segun Imohiosen, the Director, Information & Public Relations in the OSGF disclosed this in a statement signed on Thursday.

    Mbaeri left office after more than three decades of service to the nation.

    During the handing over ceremony, Dr. Mbaeri expressed confidence in the capacity of the Permanent Secretary to deliver in steering the affairs of the new responsibility, and also urged the other Permanent Secretaries to accord him the needed support to enable him carry out the onerous task of overseeing the Office.

    The outgoing Permanent Secretary expressed his gratitude to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, and the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha for the privilege accorded him to serve under their tutelage for a period of five years, tapping from their wealth of experience.

    In the same vein, he also expressed his gratitude to the four Permanent Secretaries, viz: Permanent Secretary, Ecological Project Office, Dr. Aishetu Ndayako; Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs Office, Engr. Gagare Nadungu; Permanent Secretary, Special Services Office, Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma for the support and cordial working relationship as well as the Management and Staff of the OSGF.

    In his acceptance speech, the Permanent Secretary, Special Services Office and the Permanent Secretary Overseeing the General Services Office, Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma showered encomiums on the outgoing Permanent Secretary whom he referred to as “a mentor per excellence”, for his dedication and selfless service to the Federal Civil Service and the nation at large for over three decades.

    While wishing him good health and success in his future endeavours, he assured him that the Office would always be in touch with him to tap from his wealth of experience in the Service.

    He also expressed his profound gratitude to the SGF, Sen. George Akume, and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack for the confidence reposed in him to pilot the affairs of the Office.

    He also implored the other Permanent Secretaries as well as the Management of the Office to accord him the maximum cooperation extended to outgoing Permanent Secretary to enable him deliver effectively.

    As part of activities to mark his exit in Service, the outgoing Permanent Secretary celebrated his 60th birthday anniversary which coincided with his retirement from active service.

    In attendance at the colourful event held in Abuja were the SGF, Sen. George Akume, the Permanent Secretaries, the Management, staff and well-wishers whom he has impacted positively, who shared wonderful testimonies about him.
