As part of measures towards ensuring a peaceful and crime-free Sallah celebration, the Nasarawa State Police Command has deployed four thousand, five hundred (4500) Police operatives to provide round-the-clock security across the State.
This is including shopping malls, motor parks, financial institutions, places of worship, recreational centres, and key and vulnerable points to enable holidaymakers, worshipers and the general public enjoy optimum safety and security during the celebration.
Furthermore, undercover operatives have also been deployed to strategic locations for intelligence gathering, while intensive patrols will be sustained on the highways across the state for the safety of travellers.
DSP Rahman Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) revealed this in a statement signed for the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Police Command, CP Umar Shehu Nadada on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada heartily expressed his goodwill to and congratulated Muslim Ummah in the State as they join other Muslim faithful all over the world, in celebrating this year’s Eid-el Kabir.
He, therefore, assured members of the public that the Police and other security agencies will effectively discharge their constitutional responsibility of providing adequate security for all.
