Chairman of the Parliament International School in Apo, Abuja, Alhaji Abdullahi Yelwa, (Ajiyan Yauri) has urged parents to continue to invest in the education of their children in spite of the harsh economic situation in the country.
Alhaji Yelwa who is a renowned educationist, journalist and broadcaster said that with the education of the young ones, “Nigeria will be great again”.
He said this on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Parliament International School and of the graduation/speech and prize giving day of the on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Humsimedia Online gathered that Parliament International School, one of the oldest private schools in the Apo area of Abuja, is known for its academic and sports excellence, is a circular school, prominent for its cultural creativity and high moral standards, and is affordable to all, both the poor and the rich alike.
In his characteristic good humour, Alhaji Abdullahi Yelwa called on parents to continue to have more children who will fill the vacuum left by the graduating students.
Alhaji Yelwa thanked teachers of the Parliament International School, Apo, Abuja, saying they’re doing a great job, especially with the cultural dances they’ve taught the students.
He hailed the cultural orientation of students of the Parliament International School, saying: “Every community is represented here as seen in the dances of the different tribes, signifying that Nigeria does not belong to the Hausa, Yoruba and Ibo only, but to all of us”.
Alhaji Yelwa particularly thanked his wife, Hajiya Hadiza Abdullahi Yelwa for continuing the vision called Parliament International School and prayed that God will grant her more years of life to do much more.
No fewer than 109 students graduated from the Senior Secondary School, while 84 graduated from the Junior Secondary School class.
