The Nigerian Navy has recovered approximately 105,000 litres of products suspected to be stolen crude oil during a series of anti-crude oil theft operations in Delta State.
The Navy achieved the feat through sustained offensive against crude oil theft and illegal bunkering activities under Operation DELTA SENTINEL.

Director Naval Information disclosed this in a statement signed on Friday.
The operations, conducted within the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) DELTA Area of Operation, led to the discovery of concealed storage facilities used by economic saboteurs for the unlawful stockpiling of suspected stolen crude oil.
The recovered products, estimated at 60,000 litres and 45,000 litres respectively, were found at separate locations within the Oteghele axis of Delta State.
The recoveries underscore the persistence of criminal elements involved in crude oil theft as well as the Nigerian Navy’s determination to deny them the resources and infrastructure required to sustain their illicit activities.
The operations form part of sustained efforts to disrupt crude oil theft networks, protect critical oil and gas assets and prevent economic losses to the nation.
The latest success further demonstrates the effectiveness of ongoing operations under Operation DELTA SENTINEL, which continue to degrade criminal enterprises engaged in crude oil theft and illegal bunkering across the Niger Delta region.
The Nigerian Navy said it remained resolute in its commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s maritime environment and energy infrastructure through sustained operations aimed at combating economic sabotage, enhancing national security and supporting the nation’s economic well-being.
