The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has said that his government would perform the swearing in ceremony of the substantive Chief Judge of Abia State, Justice Lilian Abai on Friday.
    Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka, the
Chief Press Secretary to the Abia State Governor said this in a statement signed on Thursday.
He said that this followed the due confirmation of her nomination by both the National Judicial Council and the State House of Assembly.
The statement said that the event would hold at the Banqeut Hall, Government House Umuahia at 12 noon.
Sir Ememanka urged all concerned to be seated before the arrival of the Governor.

Justice Lilian Abai had been on acting capacity as the Acting Chief Judge of the State since October 2023, following the retirement  of the former Chief Judge, Justice Onuoha Arisa Kalu Ogwe.
