A Non-governmental Organization, Hope Aglow Charity Foundation has reiterated the commitment of the organization in celebrating individuals, communities, Associations of like minds who work tirelessly to alleviate suffering and improve human conditions in the country.
The Founder of the organization, Dr Mrs Cynthia Amaka Obiorah made the call at a forum in Port Harcourt, River State to mark this year’s international day of Charity.
Dr Obiorah stressed the need for government at all levels to explore the spirit of compassion, generosity and solidarity to impact positively on the well being of Nigerians towards alleviating the negative effect of subsidy removal in the country.
According to her, charity in its various forms play a vital role in addressing the most pressing issues facing humanity which includes poverty, inequality, access to education and access to health care.
Dr Cynthia Obiorah is also a Safety Professional Per Excellence, women and youth Influencer as well as acclaimed Author who has authored many books.
These included academic journals and Articles, both local and international.
She shared with utmost expression of responsibility the need to promote social justice and uplift the most vulnerable in the society
International Day of Charity is celebrated on 5th of September every year and the theme for this year’s celebration is “Sharing Compassion and Solidarity”.
This year’s theme resonates deeply with the objectives of Hope Aglow Charity foundation in the face of global challenges.
