Minister of State for the Environment, Dr. Ishaq Salako

Dr. Ishaq Salako on Monday, assumed duty as the Minister of State for the Environment on Monday in Abuja, following the inauguration of 45 Ministers of the Federal Republic by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Minister of State who said that environment was key in human nature and existence, emphasised on the need to ensure environmental sustainability.
Dr. Salako said: “Our responsibility is to ensure that we use the environment sustainably.”
Humsimedia gathered that environmental sustainability is the deliberate act of preserving the environment for present and future generations.
He promised to work with the staff of the Environment Ministry, all stakeholders and the media as a team to ensure that the environment is a social responsibility for all.
Represented, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ibrahim Yusufu told the Minister of State: “We will work assiduously with you so that the dividends of democracy promised Nigerian by this administration will be realised particularly as concerns the environment.”
