Customs Comptroller-General, Ademola Adeniyi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, approved the confirmation of the appointment of Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service.
This was contained in a statement signed on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Senator George Akume, by the Director of Information, Willie Bassey.
The SGF said that the appointment takes effect from 19th October, 2023 and his tenure is in accordance with the extant provisions of the Public Service Rules (PSR).
Senator Akume said: “The President tasks him to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment.”
Before the confirmation of his appointment, Adeniyi had been in acting capacity as the Customs CG, having been earlier decorated with the new rank by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima in June 2023.
