In preparation for Eid-el- Kabir celebration, the Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba has ordered strategic deployment of five thousand, seven hundred and fifty (5,750) Police operatives to cover all nooks and cranny of the State.
This also includes Eid praying grounds, recreational centres and other public places; while vigorous crime prevention mechanisms have been emplaced on the highways to secure road users.
A statement from the Nasarawa State Police Command signed on Tuesday by DSP Ramhan Nansel said that undercover operatives had also been deployed all over the state for surveillance and information gathering.
The statement said: “The Command hereby warn miscreants and disgruntled elements who might want to leverage on the occasion and perpetrate criminality to steer clear of the State or they shall be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.”
