ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer FPRO, disclosed this in a statement signed on Friday.

The forum brought together women leaders from various sectors and regions, who are committed to strengthening leadership, economic empowerment, and capacity building.

Leading the Nigerian delegation was the President of DEPOWA, Mrs. Oghogho G. Musa, alongside the President of NAFOWA, Arc. Dr. Rakiya Abubakar; the President of POWA, Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun; the Lead Consultant, Centre for Economic & Leadership Development (CELD), Dr. Ken Giami; DIAOWA, Mrs. Jane Packer, and NAFRCOWA, Dr. Mrs. Bukola Bamise.

The event featured strategic discussions, leadership training, and networking sessions aimed at equipping women in leadership with the skills and knowledge needed to drive positive change.

It also served as a platform to foster collaboration among women leaders from various sectors.

A key moment of the retreat was the recognition of Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun, President of POWA, who was honoured with the Women Leadership Award in acknowledgement of her dedication to advancing women’s leadership and empowerment.

Her contributions to strengthening the role of women within POWA and beyond continue to inspire progress and development.

The retreat was further enriched by the presence of His Excellency Hommoudi Al-Sheikh, Ambassador of the Central African Republic to Qatar, and Mrs. Bilkisu Rufai, Head of Mission, Nigerian Embassy in Qatar, who attended as Special Guests of Honour.

With a focus on leadership excellence and sustainable development, the Women Leadership Development Forum & Retreat reaffirmed the commitment of women leaders to driving meaningful change in their respective spheres of influence.
