The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI) welcomed the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, on a strategic visit to monitor the implementation of the ongoing reform initiatives, FCSSIP25.

Director, Press & Public Relations, Dr Adebayo Thomas disclosed this in a statement.

The meeting focused on assessing the progress of the Performance Management System (PMS) within the Ministry.

Mrs. Walson-Jack reiterated her commitment to institutionalizing a robust and results-driven PMS across the Federal Civil Service.

She emphasized that her engagements with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) were essential to ensure effective execution, monitoring, and alignment with national development priorities.

The visit underscored the HCSF’s broader strategy of integration, tying PMS efforts to wider reform initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, was represented by the Director of Human Resource Management, Mrs. Amaka Owurah, who briefed the HCSF on the Ministry’s current implementation status of the PMS and other initiatives championed by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).

Mrs. Owurah highlighted areas where the Ministry had recorded commendable milestones in aligning with these reforms.

Mrs. Amaka Owurah said: “I would like to commend the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, for her tireless efforts in driving reforms and promoting a culture of excellence within the Federal Civil Service.

“Her leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping the Performance Management System, and we are grateful for her guidance and support.”
