    Nigeria Police Arrive Boston For lACP Confab 2024

    ***Set To Leverage On Highest African Membership For Improved Professional Policing

    Officers of the Nigeria Police Force and other law enforcement agencies from Nigeria have arrived the International Association of Chiefs of Police(IACP) 2024 annual conferences wand exhibition at the Boston Convention Centre, 415, Summer Street, Boston, USA.

    The Conference scheduled for 19th to 22nd October, 2024, was declared open at the Ballroom, Level 3, Boston Convention and Exhibition Centre, Boston, by the President IACP Mr John Letteney, accompanied by other top officials of the Association.

    The General Assembly for the convention will be held on Monday, 21st October, 2024 at 10am at the same venue.

    The Conference, which will have more than 16,000 participants, offers training and courses in different areas of policing, including forensic investigations, communication, public safety, community-based policing, response to crisis calls, psychological autopsy, election security and many others.

    The NPF has over time leveraged on opportunities of Conferences like this, and many others organized by foreign security and law enforcement bodies, including INTERPOL, to heighten the capabilities and policing styles of its personnel across board, in the hope to further sharpen its proficiency.

    The delegation from the Nigeria Police Force was addressed today on behalf of the IGP by the DIG FCID, DIG Abiodun Sylvester Alabi, fdc, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, in the company of other top officers who are members including AIG Jonathan Towuru, mni, AIG Yekini Ayoku, mni, and CP Henry Uche of the NPF-NCCC.

    He further charged all the officers present at the event and participants at the Convention to be good ambassadors of the Force. Also, in attendance is Former IGP Ogbonaya Onovo.

    It is worthy to note that the Nigeria Police Force has the highest number of officers of the Force as IACP members in Africa, amongst the 34,000 members of the association from 174 countries across the globe.
