The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) wishes to inform the general public that the official and verified Facebook page of the National Public Relations Officer (PRO), Assistant Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Aliyu Maiwada, is marked with a blue verification badge.

It has come to our attention that fraudulent individuals have created fake Facebook accounts impersonating the National PRO and sharing false contact details for illegal activities.

These accounts are not affiliated with the National Public Relations Officer or the NCS and are being used to scam unsuspecting members of the public.

Additionally, the NCS has been alerted to the activities of a fraudster using the phone number +234 706 301 0692 to defraud unsuspecting individuals using the name of the National PRO.

For the avoidance of doubt, this number does not belong to the National PRO or any official of the NCS and is in no way associated with the Service.

We kindly urge everyone to assist in reporting such fake profiles and fraudulent activities to Meta and the appropriate authorities to ensure swift action.

The NCS remains committed to protecting the public and strongly advises verifying all information through our official channels to avoid falling victim to these schemes.
