Easter: Police Tightens Security Across Nasarawa State, Deploy 2000 Personnel

The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, heartily felicitated with Christian faithfuls throughout the State on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) revealed this in a statement signed on Thursday.

Sequel to this, the Nasarawa State Police Command, in a bid to ensure hitch-free celebration, deployed over 2000 Police personnel across the State for crime prevention and control.

The deployment would cover places of worships, recreation centers, public and private facilities.

Surveillance/intelligence gathering and continuous raid of criminal hideouts, black spots/vulnerable points, and high visibility policing will be sustained throughout the period to guarantee the safety of lives and properties.

Members of the public are hereby implored to cooperate with Police personnel deployed for crime prevention across the State; as they have been warned to be civil, polite but firm in ensuring the security and safety of travelers and other road users.

The Commissioner of Police, therefore, assured members of the public of the Command’s renewed commitment to ensure adequate safety of lives and properties during this period and beyond.

The Commissioner of Police wished all Christians across the State a Happy Easter celebration.

He enjoined them to extol the virtues of Jesus Christ by propagating peace, demonstrating love with their fellow citizens irrespective of religious, ethnic or political inclination.
