    Corporate Social Responsibility: Customs Feeds, Distributes Writing Materials To Over 1,700 Pupils In Kebbi

    The Customs Area Controller of Kebbi Command Comptroller Iheanacho Ernest Ojike on Tuesday, extended his hands of blessings to the leaders of tomorrow by paying a charity visit to Gwandu Emirates Primary School in Kebbi State.

    Mohammed Tajuddeen Salisu Superintend of Customs and Public Relation Officer,
    Kebbi Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service disclosed this in a statement signed on Tuesday, for the Customs Area Controller.

    The Controller donated writing materials such as books, pencils, biros, and foodstuffs to over 1,700 pupils of the famous Gwandu Emirate Model Primary School, Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi State.

    During the session, he emphasized that the charity visit to the school was meant to interact with the pupils to highlight the mandate of Customs as provisioned by the Federal Government’s constitution and draw their attention to the need for them to understand the laws of the land and contribution of Customs to the national economy.

    He further stressed the need for the pupils to understand the effect of smuggling on the national economy and why Nigerians should not indulge in such nefarious acts.

    Malam Aminu Sani, the Headmaster accepted the donations and described the gesture as a form of support to the pupils.

    Sani praised the Nigeria Customs as a compassionate and responsible government organization.

    Representative of the Emirates Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Bashir KKB Galadiman Gwandu said the Chairman, Council of Chiefs, Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Iliyasu Bahir extended his heartfelt message and blessings to the Controller and his team for the kind gesture.
