As part of packages lined up for the Senior Leadership and Staff Officers Course (SLSOC) 1/23, the College concluded the last phase of Exercise Nigeria Study Tour (NST) 2023 with presentation of reports and exhibition.

The College recently embarked on Exercise Nigeria Study Tour 2023 for students of SLSOC 1/23.

A total of three States were visited (Delta, Kwara and Rivers States) by respective study groups for the Exercise.

It was themed: “Enhancing National Security through Socio-Economic Development”.

The Exercise was conducted in four phases with the first phase being the preparatory research on selected states.

Phase two was the visit to the selected states in which the students conducted on the spot assessment based on the theme of the Exercise.

Phase three was the development of research reports on the host states while Phase four was the students’ presentation of research reports and exhibitions of the host State’s culture to the distinguished audience.

During the last phase, various study groups presented their report accordingly.

This was followed by an interactive segment as well as feedback session where students got more inputs from the College community to enrich their research.

At the end of the presentation stage, the Deputy Commandant and Director of Studies (Dy Comdt/DOS), Brigadier General AJ Aliyu was invited to inspect the group’s exhibition stand where various States’ artifacts were displayed.

The Dy Comdt/DOS was accompanied by the Directors, Chief Instructors and members of the Directing Staff amongst others.

Highlights of the event were the presentation of report by study groups, display of various states’ artifacts, cultural troupe and display of each of the states visited.
