The Arewa Consultative Forum, (ACF), has been thrown into mourning following the death on Sunday morning of His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim, Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, at the age of 95.

Until his death, Dr. Ado Ibrahim was a key member of the Kogi State Traditional Council.

A statement signed by the ACF’s National Publicity Secretary, Prof. T. A. Muhammad-Baba said that the traditional ruler’s was a life well-lived and full of dedication to the people, culture and tradition was built on and remained anchored on bold, brave principles and commitment to the truth.

His remains were to be interred on Sunday according to Islamic rites.

Here’s a full text of the statement:

With total submission to the Will of Almighty God, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has this morning learnt about the demise of His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim, Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, aged 95, until the sad event also a key member of the of the Kogi State Traditional Council.

He will be buried later in the day today at Okene in accordance with Islamic rites.

HRH late Alhaji (Dr.) A. A. Ibrahim was a nationalist, astute businessman of international repute in his own right, and an uncompromising pillar of support for Arewa matters.

For these the late Ohinoyi will be sorely missed, especially at this current state of considerable and daunting challenges in the lives of the people of Ebiraland, Kogi State, Arewa and Nigeria at large.

It is indeed to be a season of deaths as in the past few weeks, key elders of Arewa have been answering the Creator’s calls and succumbing to death.

However, ACF is consoled by the fact that each and all had lived lives worthy of emulation and leaving behind a legacy of exemplary behaviour and stellar achievements.

HRH, late Alhaji (Dr.) A. A. Ibrahim certainly belonged to this high-achieving and proud class.

His was a life well-lived and full of dedication to the people, culture and tradition was built on and remained anchored on bold, brave principles and commitment to the truth.

ACF therefore extends profound condolences to the family of HRH late A. A. Ibrahim, the people of Ebiraland, Ebira Traditional Council, friends across Nigeria and the globe, as well the Federal and Kogi State Governments.

May all remain fortified in faith consoled.

May Allah SWT in His Infinite Grace and Mercy grant forgiveness and eternal rest in al-Jannah Firdaus to HRH.
