In a landmark judgment today, Chief Barr. Kenneth Udeze, National Chairman of the Action Alliance (AA), has been discharged and acquitted of all frivolous charges brought against him in a politically motivated case aimed at undermining the integrity of the party.

In the judgment delivered by the presiding Magistrate at the Chief Magistrates’ Court 3 sitting in Osogbo, Osun State, the Court dismissed the frivolous charges of conspiracy, perjury, and forgery, which were orchestrated by political adversaries seeking to hijack the Action Alliance leadership and sew discord in the party.

The judgment represents a decisive rejection of attempts to manipulate the judicial system for political gain, marking a significant victory for democracy and the rule of law.

The Chief Magistrate Court of Osun State, Osogbo Magisterial District, dismissed the charges, recognizing the lack of credible evidence and the frivolous nature of the allegations.

The case, which attracted widespread media attention, stemmed from the 2018 governorship primaries of the Action Alliance in Osun State, was seen as an attempt by Hon. Adekunle Rufai Omoaje to maliciously hijack the party through the courts.

The prosecution of the case, instigated by Hon. Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, ultimately failed to prove the charges of conspiracy, perjury, and forgery against Chief Udeze and his co-defendants, Ogunmodede Adeloye Oluwagbemi and Vernimbe James.

Chief Udeze, represented by the astute legal practitioner, Chief K.E. Ngwoke, maintained his innocence throughout the trial.

The defence’s legal team lead by the stellar Chief K.E. Ngwoke successfully argued that the charges were not only baseless but also lacking in merit.

Throughout the proceedings, it was demonstrated that the prosecution’s case was built on a shaky foundation lacking credible evidence.

The court’s decision affirms the integrity of Chief Udeze and the Action Alliance, upholding justice and due process.

Chief Barr. Kenneth Udeze expresses gratitude to all supporters who stood firm during this challenging time.
