Senators-elect of the 10th National Assembly cut across different political parties on Sunday, joining the All Progressives Party, (APC), endorsed its candidates for the positions of Senate President and Deputy Senate President to a consultative meeting.
The aspiring candidates for the positions are Senator Godswill Akpabio, APC, Akwa Ibom North-West for Senate President and Barau Jibrin, APC, Kano North, for Deputy Senate President.
National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu chaired the meeting attended by members of the party’s National Working Committee, (NWC).
The ruling party divulged this information on its official Twitter handle, @OfficialAPCNg.
@OfficialAPCNg wrote: “10th National Assembly Senator-elects across political parties joined the APC endorsed candidates for Senate President & Deputy Senate President, Godswill Akpabio & Barau Jibrin to a consultative meeting with the Senator Abdullahi Adamu-chaired National Working Committee.”
