The Chairman National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission, (NSIWC) Ekpo Nta has said that the problem the country is going through is applicable to all nations of the world.
The NSIWC boss stated this in Abuja when he received the Lifetime Achievement Award by the New National Star Newspaper during its 5th Anniversary Public Lecture and Award Dinner.
The event was chaired by distinguished Amb. Godknows Igali.
The statement as issued by the Head of Press, Emmanuel Njoku said that Nta noted that in spite of the setbacks, the country will eventually attain its proper place in the Comity of Nations.
He dedicated the Award to the management and staff of NSIWC, who despite being grossly understaffed, are highly dedicated to their duties, especially in the monitoring and compliance oversight of the over six trillion naira annual personnel budget of the Federal Public Service through diligent salary inspections.
The Chairman of the NSIWC and a former Chairman of ICPC is currently a two-term Board Member representing Africa on the Board of the Governors of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), Austria, which is an affiliate of the United Nations.
For these meritorious services to the country and Africa, Ekpo Una Owo Nta has received the New National Star’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
