The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, (NiMet) on Sunday, predicted a three-day dust haze especially across the north and other parts of the country.
NiMet therefore advised airline operators to get updated weather reports from the Agency for effective planning in their operations.
NiMet also advised people with Asthma and other respiratory issues to take adequate
precautions in view of the present weather situations.
The weather Agency again, told the public to take necessary precautions.
According to NiMet’s prediction, Moderate Dust Haze with horizontal visibility of 2–5km is expected over the Northern region, the North Central and the Inland cities of the South throughout the forecast period on Monday, (Christmas Day).
Patches of clouds in Hazy atmosphere is envisaged over the Coastal cities of the South throughout the forecast period.
NiMet predicted that on Tuesday, (Boxing Day), Moderate Dust Haze with horizontal visibility of 2–5km is expected over the Northern region, the North-central and the Inland cities of the South during the forecast period.
Patches of clouds in Hazy atmosphere are anticipated over the Coastal cities of the South with chances of thunderstorms over parts of Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers in the afternoon/evening period.
On Wednesday, NiMet predicted that Moderate Dust Haze with horizontal visibility of 2–5km is expected over the Northern region, the North central and the Inland cities of the South throughout the forecast period.
Patches of clouds in Hazy atmosphere is expected over the Coastal cities of the South during the forecast period.
