Engineer Muhammad Dikko has assumed office as the substantive Director of the FCT Emergency Management Department.
This is following the redeployment of his predecessor, Mr Baba Gambo, to Abuja Metropolitan Management Council as Director Administration.
Nkechi Isa, the Head Public Affairs of FEMD disclosed this in a statement signed on Monday.
At a brief valedictory session, FEMD Head Forecasting Response and Mitigation, Mark Nyam described Mr Baba Gambo as a consumate administrator who gave staff the opportunity to showcase their talents noting that disaster management was a collective effort, and commended Gambo for his commitment to staff development.
In a contribution, the Head Relief and Rehabilitation Hajia Fatima Sarou wished Baba Gambo well at his new office, describing him as an experienced administrator.
Until his redeployment to FEMD, Engr Muhammad Dikko was Director Project, FCTA Education Secretariat.
He started his employment with the Federal Capital Territory Administration at the Area Council Service Board serving at Gwagwalada, Kwali, Kuje, and Bwari area councils.
Engr. Dikko also worked with the Department of Development Control, AMMC.
He attended the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, where he bagged a National Diploma in Building and Quantity Surveying.
He also has a Higher National Diploma in Building Technology from Kaduna Polytechnic, Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi and a Master of Engineering in Construction Management and Technology from Bayero University Kano.
He is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors( FNIQS)and Fellow Nigeria Institute of Building(FNIOB).
