As we celebrate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day, it is a moment to reflect on our journey as a nation and the vital role that water resources play in our development.
Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NHSA) remains committed to ensuring sustainable water management, essential for our nation’s growth, health, and resilience against climate change.
Our Agency has worked tirelessly to monitor and manage Nigeria’s vast water resources, providing critical data that supports effective planning and response to flooding, drought, and other hydrological challenges.
The Agency plans to implement proactive measures to tackle the challenges of climate change and rising rainfall patterns.
This will include enhanced monitoring, improved drainage systems, and community awareness programs to better prepare for extreme weather events.
The goal is to strengthen resilience and minimize the impact of flooding on affected communities.
On this significant day, let us recognize the importance of collaboration among government agencies, local communities, and stakeholders.
By working together, we can enhance water security, promote environmental sustainability, and empower our citizens.
As we move forward, I urge all Nigerians to appreciate our natural resources and advocate for their preservation.
Together, we can build a more resilient and prosperous nation.
Happy Independence Day!
