Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Oluyinka Olalekan Soyele, has urged the newly promoted officers of the Headquarters and across the Theatre at large to continue to uphold the long-standing values and ethics of the military profession particularly loyalty to constituted authorities.
This admonition came during the investiture ceremony of Commodore Kabir Umar Rabiu and Lieutenant Colonel Markus Defwan as well as Army Warrant Officer David Yusuf held on 27 December 2024 in Gusau, Zamfara State.
Coordinator, Joint Media Coordinating Centre, Operation Fansan Yamma, Lt. Col. Abubakar Abdullahi disclosed this in a statement signed on Saturday.
General Soyele further highlighted loyalty as a quintessential attribute for any officer and emphasized that loyalty, discipline, dedication and commitment to duty are crucial to achieving the Theatre’s mandate of combating terrorism and criminal activities in the North West Zone and Niger State.
He also called on the promoted officers to always demonstrate exemplary leadership in their supporting roles towards the achievement of enduring peace and stability in the region.
The event was well attended by officers and men of the Joint Task Force Operation Fansan Yamma as well as invited guests from Gusau and environs to include the Sarkin Pawa Gusau among others.
