A segment of the Samsung building under construction and located at Banex Junction, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja, has collapsed.
The incident occurred when the Pent House segment of the three story building collapsed during casting.
Nkechi Isa, FEMD’s Head of Public Affairs disclosed this in a statement signed on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, it was reported that no life was lost to the incident.
However four out of the ten construction workers on site sustained minor injuries.
The four injured workers have been taken to the Wuse General Hospital for treatment.
Recall that the Samsung building was gutted by fire on the 6th of November 2023.
The Acting Director General of the FCT Emergency Management Department,(FEMD), Engr Abdulrahman Mohammed appealed to developers to adhere to the building code.
Engr. Abdulrahman also urged developers to always ensure on-site safety.
The FEMD Boss appealed to residents to use the 112 emergency toll free number in the event of a disaster.
