The Nasarawa State Police Command wishes to inform the public of a recent breakthrough in the fight against crime, involving the arrest of a robbery suspect, a fatal accident involving the fleeing suspects, and the recovery of stolen vehicles and other items.

On March 25, 2025, at about 03:00 hours, the Command received a distress call reporting an armed robbery incident at a residential area behind the stadium in Keffi.

Upon receiving the report, the Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro Mohammed immediately directed operatives to pursue the fleeing suspects. Although they had escaped before the arrival of the police, officers strategically tracked their suspected escape route.

Nemesis, however, caught up with the robbers when the stolen vehicle they had snatched at gunpoint was involved in a fatal accident at Bola Junction, along the Keffi-Abuja Expressway, as they attempted to evade arrest.

Following the crash, police operatives attached to Goshen City Division swiftly rushed the five occupants of the stolen Ash colour Toyota Camry with registration number ABC 621 CV to Johepz Medical Centre, Kuchikau, for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, four of them were confirmed dead by a medical doctor, while one, identified as Hussaini Mohammed ‘M’ 25yrs of Uke, was arrested and is currently receiving medical treatment under police watch.

Preliminary investigations confirmed that the Toyota Camry was stolen from one Udochi Emeka ‘M’, residing behind the stadium in Keffi. Further search led to the recovery of the following items from the suspects:

    Assorted charms

    Two long knives

    Screwdrivers

    Several wristwatches

Twelve (12) mobile phones of different brands

One Access Bank ATM card belonging to Lydia Olabode Kemi.

The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, has reiterated the Command’s commitment to maintaining law and order. He has further directed operatives to sustain the ongoing crackdown on criminals to ensure the safety and security of all residents.

The Command urges members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
