The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, today joined the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, and other Service Chiefs in the laying of wreaths to commemorate the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
Police Public Relations Officer, for the Nasarawa State Command, SP Rahman Nansel, disclosed this in a statement signed on Thursday.
Humsi Media Online gathered that the ceremony took place at the Government House, Lafia.
Speaking during the event, the Commissioner of Police described the occasion as a solemn and significant moment to honour and remember the sacrifices of security personnel, both serving and retired.
He offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes who paid the supreme price in the service of the nation.
The event was well attended by Heads of Security Agencies in the state, serving and retired security personnel, traditional rulers, and top government functionaries, all of whom gathered to pay tribute to Nigeria’s fallen heroes and reaffirmed their commitment to the unity, peace, and security of the nation
