    Nasarawa CP Commends The Public; As Police Arrests Suspected Criminals, Recover Stolen Items

    The Commissioner of Police, CP Nadada Shehu Umar has commended members of the public for their support to the Police by providing credible and timely information, urging them not to relent.

    The CP gave the commendation when operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command attached to Karshi Divisional Headquarters on 10/7/2024, arrested the duo of Chigozie Jerry, 29 years and Chigozier Junior Chigozie, 19 years both of Zokono area of Karshi, Karu, LGA of the State for breaking into Government Secondary School Karshi, where they stole Computers and other items belonging to the School.

    The arrest was made based on credible information received from public spirited individuals.

    DSP Ramhan Nansel, the
    Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) revealed this in a statement signed for the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State on Wednesday.

    Consequently, one inverter, 7 Central Processing Unit (CPU), 5 Computer Keyboards, 7 Monitors, 3 Mouse, a change-over switch, and one Solar Battery were recovered from the suspects as exhibits.

    While assuring members of the public of outmost confidentiality whenever information are passed across to the Police, the Commissioner of Police directed the Divisional Police officer to immediately charge the suspects to a Court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution once investigation is concluded.
