The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC has resolved to continue to work in synergy with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC towards greater successes in the anti-corruption fight.
Dele Oyewale, EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity disclosed this in a statement signed on Wednesday.
The resolve was conveyed by the Resident Commissioner, ICPC Kaduna State Office, Sakaba Ishiaku, when he led other senior officers of his Commission on a courtesy visit to the Acting Director, Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the EFCC, Bawa Kaltungo.
Ishiaku who stated that all hands must be on deck in order to achieve success in the anti-corruption fight noted that ridding the country of corruption “is a sacrifice we all have to make even against our close relations in order to achieve it.”
Kaltungo expressed delight with the visit and harped on the importance of synergy between both anti-corruption agencies. According to him continuous collaboration by EFCC and ICPC is imperative in order to win the anti-corruption war, noting further that ICPC’s impact in the anti-corruption war is well appreciated.
