The Force Public Relations Department (FPRD) is devastated by the untimely passing of the Police Public Relations Officer of the Taraba State Police Command, Superintendent of Police (SP) Abdulahi Usman, who lost his battle to a prolonged illness in the early hours of Sunday 23rd March, 2025.

His departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him, worked with him, and were touched by his commitment to service.

SP Usman was not just a police officer; he was a bridge between policing and the people.

For three years, he dedicated himself to fostering trust, ensuring transparency, and building a relationship of mutual respect between the Police and the public in Taraba State.

His warm personality, professionalism, and relentless pursuit of justice were qualities worth emulating.

His passing is a profound and deeply personal loss to the entire Force Public Relations Department, the Taraba State Command, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His colleagues remember him as a man of honor, duty, and compassion—a true public servant whose impact will be felt for years to come.

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, expressed his deepest condolences to the officers and men of the Taraba State Police Command, as well as to SP Usman’s family and loved ones.

He mourns not only a dedicated officer but also a dear friend and cadet set-mate, though the late officer was in the Inspectorate cadre, recalling the moments they shared in service.

As we grieve, we find solace in the life he lived, one dedicated to protecting, serving, and uplifting others.

The Force Public Relations Department stands in solidarity with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time, offering prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.

SP Abdulahi Usman’s legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
