A fire outbreak at number 13 Nelson Mandela Street has gutted four out of five blocks of 3 bedroom flats.
Residents of the building noticed fire on the solar panels mounted on the roof of the building before it turned into an inferno.
According to the Head of FEMD, Search and Rescue Team, Mr Monday Addie, the incident was reported at about 1pm.
No life was lost to the incident.
However, the four affected flats were totally burned.
Furniture, clothing, food items and other personal effects were destroyed by the fire.
The affected building is said to belong to former Zamfara State governor, Senator Ahmed Yerima.
Personnel of FEMD, Federal Fire Service, FCT Fire Service, National Emergency Management Agency and the FCT Police Command attended to the incident.
