    FCT Authorities Confirms Bomb Explosion At Islamiya School Killed Two Persons

    The FCT Emergency Management Department, (FEMD) on Tuesday, confirmed the death of two men following the explosion of an improvised explosive device incident involving a suspected bomb explosion in Abuja.

    Nkechi Isa, FEMD’s Head of Public Affairs disclosed this in a statement signed to the media.

    The incident occurred around 11:00Am at the Tsangagyar Sani Uthman Islamiyya School, located in Kuchibuyi Village, Byazhin area of the FCT.

    According to the Search and Rescue Team of FEMD, victims of the incident were promptly evacuated and rushed to Kubwa General Hospital for medical attention.

    The Ag. Director General of FEMD, Engr Abdulrahman Mohammed has appealed to residents to remain calm as security agencies were already investigating the matter.

    Engr Abdulrahman urged residents to report any suspicious persons or strange objects in their communities to security agencies.

    He also underscored the need to always use the 112 emergency toll free number in the event of a disaster.
