    EFCC Arrests Eight Truck Loads Of Suspected Illegal Solid Minerals In Makurdi

    Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested eight trucks conveying suspected illegal solid minerals.

    Dele Oyewale, EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity disclosed this in a statement signed on Friday.

    The suspects were arrested on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Katsina-ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

    Solid minerals suspected to be fluorite and iron stones were recovered from the trucks.

    The minerals were mined from some illegal mining sites in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.

    The suspects will soon be charged to Court upon conclusion of investigations.
