Secretary-General of the United Nations, (UN), Antonio Guterres has called for immediate action against the global climate crisis.

In a tweet on the official Twitter handle of the United Nations, the UN Scribe said that everyone knew what to do but for too long, failed to act accordingly.

He said that the world must act on science, facts and truth.

@antonioguterres wrote: “The climate crisis demands honesty. We know what to do, when to do it, and why. But for too long we have looked the other way. We must act on science, facts and truth. We must #ActNow.”

According to a definition from the Dictionary, Oxford Languages, climate crisis is a situation characterized by the threat of highly dangerous, changes to the global climate which are irreversible.

“These pillars of action give us a global roadmap to tackle the climate crisis and to ensure a sustainable future,” it says.
