Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP) in the 2023 general elections, Atiku Abubakar has told the incoming governor’s elected on the party’s platform to set the pace for good governance in their respective states.
Atiku said that this was a hallmark of the Peoples Democratic Party.
On his Twitter handle, @atiku, the former Vice President of Nigeria said that he spoke during the welcome reception for newly elected and returning governors of the PDP.
@atiku wrote: “This afternoon, I joined other party leaders at the welcome reception for newly elected and returning governors, as well as send-forth for outgoing governors of our great party, the @OfficialPDPNig.
While congratulating the outgoing governors for having flown the flag of our party high with pride, I urge the incoming ones to set the pace for good governance in their respective states—as the hallmark of the PDP. -AA.”
Other dignitaries at the event included former Vice President, Namadi Sambo; Doctor Ifeanyi Okowa, the outgoing Governor of Delta State, outgoing Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, and Acting Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Senator Adolphus Wabara.
Others were Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki; Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku; Adamawa Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri; and former Kaduna State Governor, Ahmed Makarfi.
