    Again, NiMet Alerts On Three-Day Dust Haze, December 28-30

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, on Wednesday, alerted the nation to another hazy weather expected to last between December 28 and 30.

    The weather information emanated
    from its Central Forecast Office, (CFO).

    On Sunday, had predicted a three-day dust haze especially across the North and other parts of the country between Monday, December 25 and 27.

    In the current climate prediction, NiMet said on Thursday, December 28, they’ll be Moderate Dust Haze with horizontal visibility of
    2 – 5 km and localized visibility of less than or equal to 1000m over the Northern region.

    NiMet said Moderate Dust Haze with horizontal visibility of 2 – 5 km is expected over the North Central region throughout the forecast period.

    Moderate Dust Haze with horizontal visibility of 2 – 5 km is expected over the Inland cities of the South and Coastal cities during the forecast period.

    On Friday, December 29, NiMet alerted they’ll be Moderate Dust
    Haze with horizontal visibility of 2–5km and localized visibility of less than or equal to 1000m is expected over the North and North Central region throughout the forecast period.

    period.

    On Saturday, December 30, NiMet’s prediction said they’ll be Moderate Dust
    Haze with horizontal visibility of 2–5km and localized visibility of less than or equal to 1000m is expected over the North and North Central region throughout the forecast period.

    the Inland cities of the South during
    the forecast period. Few clouds in hazy atmosphere is expected over the Coastal cities during the forecast
    period.

    NiMet therefore advised airline operators to get updated weather reports from the Agency for effective planning in their operations.

    NiMet also advised people with Asthma and other respiratory issues to take adequate
    precautions in view of the present weather situations.

    With Dust particles in the air, the weather Agency advised the public to take necessary precautions.
