    NAOWA President Commissions Geographical Garden At Lungi Barracks

    The President Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) Mrs Salamatu Yahaya commissioned a geographical garden at Command Day Secondary School Lungi Barracks Asokoro Abuja on 23 May 23.

    A statement posted on the Twitter handle of the Nigerian Army, @HQNigerianArmy on Wednesday said that the Geographical Garden was a project carried out by Mrs Fatima Sani Muhammed, wife of Maj Gen Sani Mohammed the Chief of Standard and Evaluation (Army).

    The President NAOWA, Mrs Salamatu Yahaya, appreciated Mrs Sani Muhammed for initiating and executing the project.

    Mrs Muhammed who is also the Chairperson, NAOWA Education Committee said that the Geographical Garden was aimed at giving back to her workplace and immediate constituency values of ethical learning, practice and appropriate learning environment.

    She said the geographical garden would help the students of geography and indeed others to learn, practice and assimilate geography with ease.

    Highlights of the event were cultural display, students parade, group photographs, and presentation of souvenirs.
