    Nasarawa Police Command Gets New Boss As CP Shettima Jauro Mohammed Assumes Duty

    ***CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed psc, assumes duty as the 29th Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State; solicits the support and collaboration of the general public to decisively deal with the scourge of all forms of crime in the State***

    Nasarawa State Police Command wishes to inform residents of Nasarawa State and members of the public that, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed has assumed duty as the 29th Commissioner of Police. He replaces CP Umar Shehu Nadada psc, mni following his promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police.

    CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed hails from Mubi North LGA of Adamawa State. He holds (B.Ed) in Physical and Health Education from University of Maiduguri.

    He Joined the Nigeria Police Force on May 18, 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and has served the Nigeria Police Force in various state and capacity such as:
    The Acting Commissioner of Police,

    Nasarawa State Command, Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia Nassarawa State Command; Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Zone 8 Lokoja and Gombe State Command respectively.

    That apart, the pragmatic Commissioner of Police served as Coordinator, North-West Border Zone Katsina and Lagos, and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Liaison INEC Abuja.

    The Commissioner of Police in the course of his career soujourn also served as Aide-Camp to Former Governor of Katsina State/ President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Late Umaru Musa Yar’adua, O/C SARS, Bauchi State, OC CIB, Katsina State and Commander, Idiroko Border Patrol respectively.

    Furthermore, the highly cerebral Commissioner of Police was also a Divisional Police officer, Panshakara, Kano, Roro Port, Lagos and Daura Division, Katsina State Police Command among others.

    CP Shetima has attended many courses within and outside the shores of Nigeria among which are, Citizenship and Leadership course, Combat Operation Course, Tactical Leadership & Command Course, Immigration & Border Police (CENTRO ADDESTRAMENTO POLIZIA DI STATO CESENA) Italy, VIP Protection Course, Carolina, United States Department of State, Strategic Leadership and Command Course, Tactical Leadership and Command Course, and Advance Detective Course.
    He is happily married and blessed with lovely children.

    The new Commissioner of Police solicits the support and collaboration of the general public by way of providing useful information in order to frontally and decisively deal with the scourge of any form of crime and criminality in Nasarawa State.
