A Non-governmental organization (NGO), National Youth for Women Empowerment and Education in Nigeria, said that the Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Matawalle, would phase out insecurity in the country.

The National Co-ordinator of the NGO, Mr Ibrahim Ibrahim, said this during an entrepreneurship training for women in Abuja on Monday.

He said that Matawalle’s achievements as the Minister of Defence has not gone unnoticed.

“Some noticeable mentions are advanced aerial defense, improved military synergy, modernisation of military arsenal, securing Nigerian maritime borders, improving Nigerian cybersecurity space, improvement of veteran welfare and DICON bill enactment and overall increase in military funding.

“Afterall these accomplishments speak louder than this preserved gentleman; perhaps John Kennedy had you in mind when he made this timely statement: Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.

“Sir I want to thank you for your selfless contribution to development of Nigeria,” Ibrahim said.

The national coordinator commended President Bola Tinubu for maintaining Matawalle in his cabinet to completely wipe out insecurity in the country.

Ibrahim said that very soon, farmers would go back to their farms and everything would be back to normal.

He also reiterated the NGO’s commitment to providing entrepreneurship training to women, to impart skills acquisitions knowledge on Nigerian women through seminars.

“This will ensure women get the requisite empowerment and educational training that will unlock their political and economic potentials thereby enabling them to cater for their own personal, family needs and to give them the opportunity to contribute their quotas towards the overall socio-political and socio-economic development of the country.”

Mrs Aishat Yakubu, said that the entrepreneurship training was very important and our security was also important.

She said: “I pray this insecurity in our country will be a thing of the past soon, so that our business can go smoothly because some of us are scared.”
