The Inspector-General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun has stated the passion and commitment of the NPF to international capacity building of its personnel to strengthen overall adherence to global law enforcement and operational response capabilities.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Force Public Relations Officer, (FPRO) disclosed this in a statement signed on Friday.
The Inspector-General of Police, represented by the Commissioner of Police, INTERPOL, Lagos Annex, CP Bode Ojajuni, made this known at the graduation ceremony of three Nigeria Police Officers at the Abu Dhabi Police College, UAE.
The International Association of Chiefs of Police IACP) UAE Ministry of Interior Police Academy Exchange Programme is a collaborative effort between the IACP and the UAE MOI.
Through the Programme, 52 Police officers representing 44 police agencies from 35 countries were enrolled in a four-month basic academy training programme at the Abu Dhabi Police College, UAE.
Among the graduates were DSP Abdullah Yusuf, ASP Faith Asigidi and Inspector Noah Joseph, all from the INTERPOL Bureau of the Nigeria Police Force.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohammed Al Nahyah, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Emirati government officials, Police representatives and global dignitaries from participating countries.
